Reducing and eradicating medical errors by deploying modern electronic medical records systems
. A very important need in the healthcare delivery in developing countries is the management of patients' medical records. Lots of patients die from medical errors such as administering the wrong medications, adverse drug interactions, misdiagnoses of diseases, lack of medication reconciliations, and the providers' inability to reference past medical histories of the patients for differential diagnosis and treatments.
Anyone who has embarked on a medical mission(s) in developing countries has witnessed some of the above problems. MWB's plan is to install EMR on small computer networks (LANs) in clinics in the developing world to enhance patients' medical records management and prospects.
